Ian just went potty in the potty!!!! YAY!!!!!

So mom was here visiting and it was wonderful. The boys loved having her here (Ian was near inconsolable after we dropped her off at the airport). So my boys are growing up. Connor has started feeding and watering the cats on his own. (If only he would ask for clean bowls rather than taking them out of the dirty dishwasher ewww). And Bruce converted Ian's bed today to a big boy toddler bed. *Sigh* They're growing up!!!!

Ian is growing up so fast. He's wanted to eat at the table for awhile now, so now he is. It's time to put the highchair away. He's just growing up so fast! He loves playing and wrestling with his older brother. He also adores grapes. ( not so much a baby anymore! )

Ian had his 18 month checkup to day and was in the 55% for weight (his chunks are gone..which I know healthy but still sad to see his babyness go away). And off the charts in height. No seriously he's 18 months old and 35 1/2 inches tall. I'm not kidding. They measured him twice. Yeah that's how tall Connor was at 2 years old. Connor is tall ( Read more... )

Ian is becoming quite the participant in the Tuesday classes at DG (he'll be old enough for the Thursday ones in February). He pats his lap during the introduction name game, he tries (I help him) make the hand motions during the song, he listens to the story and does what he can to participate in the craft or activity. So, Connor is surprising me every day. He has this little learning laptop thing he got from my dad and it is helping him learn amazing things! He can identify all of his numbers now, is recognizing patterns well, knows all his letters and their sounds, and has an amazing memory! This child scares me... like a lot...remember he is only 3. Something I hadn't considered about Ian walking..that means he and Connor can walk in different directions when we're in public. For some reason Ian never really did that in crawling.
